How it works today

Where the workshop stalls

  • The phone rings while the mechanic is under a car, so the front desk walks back and forth with a note.
  • Extra work gets approved verbally, and three weeks later nobody remembers who said what.
  • At the end of the month someone works through a call list for inspections, and half of them don't pick up.
  • A car is ready at 3pm, but the customer only finds out when they call.
The customer journey

From booking to the next service

Booking

The customer messages what's wrong and when suits them. The front desk adds it to the schedule and confirms in the same chat.

Drop-off

On the morning of the appointment, a message goes out with the time, the expected turnaround and whether a courtesy car is ready.

Extra work

If the mechanic finds something extra, the photo and the amount go to the customer. The answer stays in the conversation, timestamped.

Ready

Once the job is closed, the customer gets a message that the car's ready, with the amount and closing time.

Afterwards

A review request after pickup, and a reminder when the next inspection or service is due.

What garages do with it

A typical week

Sign-off on extra work

The photo, the amount and the customer's yes sit in one conversation, with the date and time.

The car is ready

One message the moment the job is closed, so the front desk no longer has to chase anyone.

Inspection reminder

Customers whose inspection expires next month get one message and reply to book a slot.

A photo for the diagnosis

A warning light or a strange noise: the customer sends a photo or video before coming in.

Broken down on the road

Messages with words like breakdown or tow truck get a label and move to the top of the inbox.

Desk, planning and mechanics

Everyone works on the same number, with each conversation assigned, so customers never hear the same thing twice.

These six are a start. Anything you need to sort out with customers can become a flow, even if it's not listed here.

Integrations

What your garage software passes on

We don't integrate directly with garage management systems. When your garage software sends a closed job or an upcoming inspection date to Zapier or a webhook, the flow picks it up and sends the matching message. You can only message a customer first once they've given permission. If your garage software can't do this, tell us and we'll build the connection to the system you track jobs in.

Price

What it costs

Automations come with every plan, integrations start at Growth. Meta charges separately for each message you send, with no markup from us.

Frequently asked questions

About WhatsApp in the workshop

Send the photo and the price as a message. The customer's reply stays in the chat, timestamped, and you can find it later under their number.

Whether that holds up legally in your situation is one for your own adviser. We record the conversation, nothing more.
